# Deploying the website deliberately

> Validate repositories and hosting results, preserve shared API consumers, and cut documentation over safely.

Treat each hostname as a separate deployment boundary. A successful push is not proof that its hosting deployment completed.

## Main website checks

The existing workflow installs dependencies, runs tests and lint, builds Next.js, audits production dependencies, and dry-runs three Workers.

```bash theme={null}
npx wrangler deploy --dry-run --config api-worker/wrangler.jsonc
npx wrangler deploy --dry-run --config unsubscribe-worker/wrangler.jsonc
npx wrangler deploy --dry-run --config cloudflare/edge-api/wrangler.jsonc
```

## Shared gateway changes

The Worker composes the retained gateway, Last.fm adapter, newsletter handlers, and explicit cache policy. Preserve existing bindings and secrets. Check all dependent frontends before changing response shapes, endpoints, or freshness.

## Profile and Muzix

These frontends are separately hosted. Inspect their own repository run and hosting deployment, then verify their actual hostnames. Do not infer their release status from the main website’s build.

## Documentation cutover order

1. Review and approve the standalone docs source.
2. Connect the intended Git repository to the existing Mintlify project.
3. Configure the custom domain with the target supplied by Mintlify.
4. Verify HTTPS, navigation, content, images, and redirects on that domain.
5. Release main-site route removals and redirects only afterwards.

Keep the original CMS records and CDN files for rollback. Connecting a Git provider, expanding access, or changing live DNS requires the owner’s authorization.
